SCI FI announces BSG prequel series

SCI FI is calling the show, "Caprica", "television's first science fiction family saga."

In development with NBC Universal by "Galactica" executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, "24" writer Remi Aubuchon. No dates on when it may go into production or premiere. More...

This line worries me a bit: "It's a family drama and a political drama about corporations and politics. It's almost [more] like a sci-fi soap than it is an action-adventure series."

It sounds like there will be a bit less "sci" in this sci-fi. But I'm optimistic that anything from the BSG universe is bound to be good.
